AUTOMATED SYSTEM FOR DRAWING UP A UNIFIED WORK CURRICULUM

On the basis of the most important of the documents - the curriculum of the specialty, a consolidated annual plan for a specific academic year is created. On its basis, the disciplines taught by the departments are determined, the number of hours per week for each discipline, the number of academic weeks, hours of lectures, practical, laboratory and other classes, exams, tests, term papers and theses, etc. Thus, the consolidated annual curriculum is a direct source of data for calculating hours. As practice shows, in changing conditions, when realities require a review of curricula, calculating hours is a rather laborious and time-consuming task, sometimes requiring several days, and not always completed without errors.

In this paper, we will consider the problem of compiling a summary annual plan of a specialty based on existing curricula of the same specialty for different courses.

In the course of the work, the nature of the data with which it is necessary to operate was determined. Therefore, when developing software, tabular components and WinAPI functions were used to work with office applications.

The program consists of the following steps:

- sequentially into the program, through the dialog boxes for courses, curricula of specialties are introduced in the form of electronic documents (Word or Excel files);

- these files are processed using special WinAPI functions, and are entered in the form of tables in the database of the program;

- then there is a selection of disciplines for six months on the basis of the entered number of the course of the specialty (1 and 2 half for the 1st year, 3 and 4 half for the 2nd year, etc.);

- after the selection, the hours of lectures, practical, laboratory, etc. are determined by multiplying by the number of weeks of teaching hours per week, and on their basis the total number of class hours of this discipline; data is filled in the appropriate columns.

Thus, the created software independently reads the electronic documents of the curriculum, sorts the disciplines taught by the specified department, sorts them by academic half-year, creates a report in the form of a consolidated annual plan in a Microsoft Word document for further editing and printing. The program was developed on Delphi object-oriented programming language.
